Taking a look at what to expect in our huge range of unique 1-of-1s.
At Pieland, we’re baking up a world of unique Octopie NFTs. Every single one will feel different to the others. But some, some will feel really different. These are the Octopie 1-of-1s. What this means is that no other Octopie in the whole of Pieland is the same as these 1-of-1s. They will have unique traits or very special combinations of existing traits. And whilst each one will be quite rare, we will have over 75 1-of-1s.
Now, we can’t quite reveal every single 1-of-1 today. That would ruin the surprise of opening the Oven to see what comes out! What we can do is give you a little breakdown of what to expect from these 1-of-1s:
- Be it a Pierate, Doughbot, or Vampier, each Slice will have a designated Leader who commands them. These leaders have unique and defining characteristics. A 1-of-1 Zompie leader may have special clothes, or a 1-of-1 Pieson leader may be decked out in an extravagant costume. Of course, a leader is never without their closest confidants and believers, so be on the lookout for those too.
- There will also be 1-of-1 Octopies that belong to a Slice and stand out for their contributions to history, pop culture, or political prowess. More than a dozen of these 1-of-1 Octopies, like FrankenPie, Day Baker, and Frosted, have celebrity-sized egos and expect to be treated like royalty.
- We’ll also see a full gold Octopie and full rainbow Octopie for each Slice, to bedazzle and shine in an extra special way! These rare gold and rainbow beauties turn heads wherever they go.
- Happie Lunar New Year! To celebrate the Year of the Tiger, 11 Lucky Red Envelopes will be available in the mint as well. At the start of each month, one hong bao (red envelope) will reveal itself as a 1-of-1 Octopie from the Chinese Zodiac. These animal-morphing Octopies are highly unusual, much like our friend the Pieger. The Pieger will be airdropped to one person who pre-orders, which is open now until the 7th of February!
These ultra-rare 1-of-1s will be available in the pool of Octopies available for pre-ordering and minting. But we’ll also have some extra 1-of-1s to come out later too. These will come from some of the 314 Pies the team have set aside, and won’t be revealed right away.
Still more! We are calling all Pie Pipers for a chance to win a 1-of-1 Octopie through our Discord community! You will work with our artist to customize your own Octopie to design an NFT that best represents you in the Pieland metaverse! Winners will be able to earn a custom 1-of-1 Octopie in a range of ways — but more to come on that in the future.!
Note — there will be limitations to protect the rarity and scarcity of previous 1-of-1s. We will have final say on what traits are approved to keep balance. We will also be considerate with the release of these 1 of 1s to ensure minimal or no disruption to the economics of previously released Octopies.
