Mmmm…The Octopies are coming!
It’s time to grab your forks and prepare your Ethereum as we celebrate National Pie Day! What’s on the agenda for today? First, we have breakfast, where we stuff ourselves with cinnamon apple pie. For lunch? Pecan, of course. For dinner? Well we eat so much delicious pie that we end up in a sugary trance, as we watch the Pieland oven timer countdown. That’s right; the Octopies are almost finished baking!
We are proud to formally announce that the Octopies will be ready for the Great Bake Sale (aka minting) on February 10th, 2022.
The Great Bake Sale
For our Great Bake, Pieland will be releasing 10,314 fresh-baked Octopies. Of these, 10,000 will be available for sale at 0.088 Ethereum each. The entire batch of Octopie NFTs will look and feel unique, with billions of potential combinations! Owning one of them will allow you to step into the world of Pieland, where you can hang out with community members, earn special prizes, participate in cool compietitions and join in on some exciting events.
Where do you need to go to participate in the Great Bake Sale? Well, it will be happening on our website, Pieland.io, which we are pleased to share with the world for the first time right now! Make sure you bookmark it, as it will have more information added as we get closer to the Great Bake Sale — a roadmap, FAQs, a mint page, and more coming soon!
Whitelist and Pre-orders
Salivating? Lattice help you get early access to the drop on February 10th. If you’re active in our Discord, or a regular follower on our Twitter, you will have already seen opportunities to win a “whitelist” spot. Pieple (that’s people who love Pieland) who win this will get some tantalizing perks, including access to up to two limited opportunities for early purchase of an Octopie. If you aren’t on the list yet — don’t worry! There are still plenty more whitelist spots to be won between now and the Great Bake Sale!
Trust us, you’re going to want to win one. Because starting on February 4th and running through February 7th, we will be providing a special pre-order window. During this time, everyone on the whitelist will have the opportunity to pre-purchase a few Octopies with near-zero gas fees. If you do so, we will cover the cost of gas to mint and deliver these Octopies right into your wallet on the day of the Great Bake Sale. We want to offer this option to thank those who really believe in what we’re baking up here at Pieland. Skip the high fees, reserve some adorable Octopies, and a chance at a few other fun surprises!
Not only that, but an essential part of our recipe is making it easy to join Pieland. This includes those new to the world of Crypto, minting NFTs or using Ethereum. Throughout the pre-order window, we will be on hand to walk pieple through the process. Meaning if you have any questions or issues in getting involved, our attentive team will assist!
Of course, pre-ordering isn’t the only option! For those who wish to wait or those who make it to the whitelist after the pre-order ends, we will have an exclusive whitelist-only Pre-sale on the 10th, providing a small window of time to mint a limited quantity before the Public sale. Whether you’re working, hanging out with family, or at a dentist’s appointment, we want to make sure you have enough time to take home some Octopies.
Those of you who manage to snag a whitelist role, make sure to look out on February 4th, as we will send out a form to everyone with the role. You will have to submit your details — your Discord name and wallet address — to make sure the whitelist is set up correctly. At this point, you will also have the option to pre-order some Octopies if you wish.

We are kicking off National Pie Day with a day of fun giveaways to celebrate this most important of holidays. But that’s just the start! You can expect more daily giveaways to celebrate all things Pie over the next twenty days. Not only will you have a chance to get on the whitelist, but there will be opportunities to win Octopies, ETH, Discord Nitro, and oh, the biggest prize of all — authentic, delicious pies delivered to your front door (or side door, we don’t discriminate). Unfortunately, no one will win a pet Octopus. And we told you the Pieland roadmap was coming — you can expect to see it on January 30th!
